Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

At SwitchAi, your privacy is our core commitment. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, share, and protect your information when using the SwitchAi mobile application, CLI, desktop helper, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

To deliver an optimal sync experience across devices, we collect limited, essential information:

  • Account Data: Credentials such as your email address, profile handle, and authenticating credentials if you create an account.
  • Usage Analytics: Event-driven metrics including features visited, response durations, and error logs to monitor app stability.
  • Device Metrics: Specific identifiers including OS versions, model tags, application build versions, and CLI parameters.
  • Connected Service Data: If you choose to connect Gmail, Google Calendar, or GitHub, SwitchAi receives the data and permissions needed to provide the requested integration features. This may include email and thread content, drafts, labels, calendar and event details, repository metadata, source files, commits, issues, pull requests, releases, and workflow information, depending on the service and your authorization.
  • Authorization Data: OAuth access and refresh tokens or equivalent connection credentials are stored and used to maintain an integration on your behalf. SwitchAi does not request or store your third-party account password.
  • AI Processing Consent: We store whether you allow third-party AI processing, the platform you used, the consent or revocation timestamp, the policy version, and the app version associated with that choice.

2. How We Use Information

The data collected is processed exclusively for the following operational tasks:

  • Operating and syncing the SwitchAi platform settings across your authenticated endpoints.
  • Improving system metrics, identifying bugs, and rolling out security patches.
  • Responding to technical requests, billing issues, and handling queries.
  • Complying with necessary verification terms mandated by App Store distributors.
  • Providing connected-service features only when you ask SwitchAi to access or act on your authorized Gmail, Google Calendar, or GitHub data.
  • Processing requests through Vercel AI models when AI processing is enabled. This can include your message, relevant conversation context, selected files or images, audio transcripts, and connected-service information that you ask SwitchAi to use.
  • Protecting connected data in operational logs and telemetry by redacting message bodies, calendar content, repository secrets, tokens, and other sensitive values where applicable.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We coordinate with trusted sub-processors (such as cloud hosting, user database engines, or telemetry monitors) solely to maintain service reliability, always adhering to robust data confidentiality guidelines.

When AI processing is enabled, SwitchAi sends the data needed for the requested feature to Vercel AI models through the applicable Vercel AI processing service. Depending on the selected model, Vercel may route the request to an upstream model provider. The applicable provider's terms, privacy policy, and retention controls apply to that processing.

You can turn AI processing on or off at any time from Data & Privacy. When the setting is off, SwitchAi blocks future AI requests; existing SwitchAi chat history is not automatically deleted.

4. Connected Services and Limited Use

Connected-service data is used to carry out the action or provide the feature you request. SwitchAi does not sell your Gmail, Google Calendar, or GitHub data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose models. We do not transfer connected-service data to third parties except trusted service providers needed to operate SwitchAi, providers you expressly request through a feature, or when required by law. Gmail and Google Calendar data are handled in accordance with applicable Google API Services User Data Policy requirements, including its Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect any integration from SwitchAi settings at any time. Disconnecting stops future access through SwitchAi; you can also revoke SwitchAi's access from your Gmail, Google Account, or GitHub security settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as your account is active. As highlighted in our Account Deletion Policy, account data undergoes automatic purging after 90 days of complete dormancy.

SwitchAi chat history and consent records are retained with your account until you delete them or delete your account. Vercel and any applicable upstream AI model provider may apply separate operational retention rules to requests; we do not represent that all provider-side processing data is immediately erased after a response unless the applicable provider configuration and policy expressly provide that guarantee.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under GDPR or CCPA rules), you have rights regarding access, portability, updates, or complete data erasing. You can trigger manual data wipe tools inside the app settings or message us directly.

7. Children's Privacy

Our platform does not target and is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the legal threshold in your region). If we identify any accidental collection of such details, they are deleted immediately.

8. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to modify this policy. Any changes will be published here with an updated revision date.
